Chapter 2 of 8

Meet your core character

The Day Master is the centre of analysis; the Five Elements are five basic abilities.

Reader outcomeAurato first identifies your most natural way of operating, then examines how five abilities are distributed. No element ranks above another. What matters is whether they can support the life you are living now.

Scene 01

Build a baseline from birth data

Aurato uses your birth date, time and place to calculate a Four Pillars chart. This chart is the analytical baseline: the time structure present when you entered the world.

If the birth time is unknown or close to a calendar boundary, Aurato should show that uncertainty directly instead of inventing a time and presenting it as exact.

Birth baselineXin Metal calibrates date, time and place into a Four Pillars baseline.

Birth data becomes a traceable Four Pillars baseline

Scene 02

Day Master: your most natural way of operating

The most important reference point in the chart is the Day Master. It is not your entire personality, and it does not mean you always behave in only one way.

It is more like your core character: the response you reach for most naturally when you meet the world, make decisions or handle pressure. Every other energy relationship is understood in relation to this centre.

Five energiesYi Wood walks through five connected energy landscapes.

Five energies are five patterns of living and change

Scene 04

It is not ‘add whatever is missing’

The quantity of each element is only the first layer of information. Having less of one energy does not mean you must increase it; having more does not mean it is always beneficial.

Aurato also examines season, position, sources of support, direction of flow and the task at hand. The real question is not ‘how much is there?’ but ‘is enough available now, does it move smoothly, and what does using it cost?’

Usable capacityJi Earth regulates supply, conditions and flow to reveal usable capacity.

Explanation framework

Life first. Technical evidence when you ask why.

Purpose before theoryBegin with the user’s real-life question, then explain how Aurato analyses it.
Layer one: one-line answerExplain the concept’s use clearly in everyday language.
Layer two: simple exampleDemonstrate it through work, relationships, money, rest or a decision.
Layer three: practical strategyShow what the user can observe, adjust or do next.
Layer four: technical evidenceOnly after selecting ‘Why?’ reveal the Day Master, Five Elements, Ten Gods, pillar positions and timing rules.
Recommended languageUse ‘may’, ‘tends to’, ‘is more likely to’ and ‘one useful strategy is’.
Avoid absolute verdictsDo not use fated, guaranteed, good destiny, bad destiny or perfect match.
Evidence sensitivityState clearly when birth time, calendar boundaries or missing data could affect the result.

Aurato uses possibility language, shows uncertainty and never turns one symbol into a fixed verdict.
