Chapter 3 of 8

How does your energy work?

What matters is not the total amount, but how resources enter, leave and get used.

Reader outcomeSomeone may appear highly capable and still feel exhausted if output keeps exceeding recovery. Aurato reads the whole exchange of energy rather than a single score.

Scene 01

Five life functions

Aurato translates the traditional Ten Gods into five groups of life functions: Resource, Peer, Output, Wealth and Power. Each function has two Yin–Yang expressions, creating the traditional set of ten.

At the first layer, you do not need to memorise ten labels. You only need to understand how each group affects you.

Why this interpretation?

Ten Gods relationships · Day Master strength · Support, output and drain · Direction of energy flow · Whether a function is rooted

Five functions describe how energy is exchanged

Scene 02

Resource: what helps you recover

Resource includes learning, care, preparation, knowledge, rest and understanding. Too little Resource can leave action unsupported; too much can keep you preparing without ever beginning.

Resource supportYi Wood receives learning, care, rest and understanding before taking action.

Support is useful when it helps action and recovery

Scene 03

Peer: who moves alongside you

Peer includes companions, teams, autonomy and competition. A useful amount brings support and cooperation; too much can scatter resources or leave everyone trying to lead.

Peer exchangeJia Wood and Yi Wood build one bridge while negotiating direction.

Peers can create support, cooperation and competition

Scene 04

Output: what you deliver to the world

Output includes communication, creativity, completed work, problem-solving and care for others. Output creates value, but every act of output spends core energy.

Scene 05

Wealth: how you handle value

Wealth is not only money. It also includes opportunities, assets, clients, commitments and practical results. This function shows how you allocate limited resources and turn effort into manageable outcomes.

Why this interpretation?

Value managementWu Earth allocates opportunities, assets, clients and commitments into results.

Value becomes manageable through allocation and commitment

Scene 06

Power: how you meet pressure

Power includes rules, deadlines, responsibility, risk, authority and accountability. The right amount of pressure creates direction; too much can reduce flexibility and recovery.

A simple example

A person with strong Output may be excellent at creating, communicating and delivering. But if Resource support is low, sustained output can become overuse.

Aurato would not stop at ‘you are highly creative.’ It would add: ‘You can produce consistently, but recovery support is currently limited. Protect recovery time after important work.’

Explanation framework

Life first. Technical evidence when you ask why.

Purpose before theoryBegin with the user’s real-life question, then explain how Aurato analyses it.
Layer one: one-line answerExplain the concept’s use clearly in everyday language.
Layer two: simple exampleDemonstrate it through work, relationships, money, rest or a decision.
Layer three: practical strategyShow what the user can observe, adjust or do next.
Layer four: technical evidenceOnly after selecting ‘Why?’ reveal the Day Master, Five Elements, Ten Gods, pillar positions and timing rules.
Recommended languageUse ‘may’, ‘tends to’, ‘is more likely to’ and ‘one useful strategy is’.
Avoid absolute verdictsDo not use fated, guaranteed, good destiny, bad destiny or perfect match.
Evidence sensitivityState clearly when birth time, calendar boundaries or missing data could affect the result.

Aurato uses possibility language, shows uncertainty and never turns one symbol into a fixed verdict.
